Modeling Real Objects Using Video See-Through Augmented Reality
This paper presents a method for creating 3D models of real objects using video see-through augmented reality. We use a tracked probe to sample the objects' geometries and video images acquired from the headmounted cameras to capture textures. Our system provides visual feedback by overlaying the model onto the real object in the user's field of view. This visual feedback makes the modeling process interactive and intuitive.
