Prof. Kyoung Mu Lee received the B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Control and Instrumentation Eng. from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea in 1984 and 1986, respectively, and Ph. D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the USC (University of Southern California), Los Angeles, California in 1993. He has been awarded the Korean Government Overseas Scholarship during his Ph. D. courses. From 1993 to 1994 he was a research associate in the SIPI (Signal and Image Processing Institute) at USC. He was with the Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. in Korea as a senior researcher from 1994 to 1995. On August 1995, he joined the department of Electronics and Electrical Eng. of the Hong-Ik University, and worked as an assistant and associate professor. From September 2003, he is with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Seoul National University as a professor. His primary research interests include computer vision, image understanding, pattern recognition, robot vision and multimedia applications.
